I love cheesy messages, flowers from time to time and matchy sweaters. Yes, you guessed right, I’m a romantic soul in every way. I’m one of those girls who has been dreaming of her big day since…well, since forever!
But of course prior to the ‘I do’, comes the big question; ‘Will you marry me?’ And I’m blessed both happened even better then I could’ve ever dreamed of…
In 2014 Lorenz and I had our first over sea destination. We headed to the city that never sleeps and the city that will forever be very special to me; New York City.
We stayed at the absolutely fabulous Plaza hotel, which holds a lot of sweet memories to me. Could I ever imagine, Lorenz would pop the big question here? No, definitely not. Did I think about it? Yes, I did.
All my friends have always been very positive about Airbnb but seeing is believing so it was time for me to find out myself if they were right…
My BFF Jan and I suffer from a serious form of wanderlust and decided to take a look on where we could go. We had no demands except the total cost needed to be low and we didn’t want to go to the typical places. We searched high and low for some travel inspiration and all of a sudden we bumped into a blogpost about Krakow. The pictures looked amazing and according to the blogger, Krakow was THE new hipster place to be. The airplane tickets were only 30 euro each and the reviews on this city all said the same; Krakow is beautiful and affordable.
So I started scrolling through Airbnb and found this amazing apartment for only 40 euro/night. I immediately called Jan and we booked.
If you know me, you might have noticed I haven’t been blogging for quite some time…
At a certain point I just stopped doing it. Why, do you ask? Well, the answer is very simple. Because I wasn’t happy anymore. I wasn’t happy with the Maxime I was becoming and the blog I was trying (so hard!) to keep up with and make it grow.
Everything about it, irritated me. I had no longer the desire of writing a post and I just decided to take some time off to figure out what I wanted to do. As a big lover of chaotic perfection and being a procrastinator with insecurities, I kept finding excuses to not relaunch my blog.
